COMMUNICATION, What are you feeding yourself?


Communication: •The concept or state of exchanging information between entities; The potential for information exchange; A message; the essential data transferred in an act of communication; The body of all data transferred to one or both parties during an act of communication.(en.wiktionary.org/wiki/communication)

Communication is a process whereby information is enclosed in a package and is channeled and imparted by a sender to a receiver via some medium. The receiver then decodes the message and gives the sender a feedback. All forms of communication require a sender, a message, and an intended recipient, however the receiver need not be present or aware of the sender's intent to communicate at the time of communication in order for the act of communication to occur. Communication requires that all parties have an area of communicative commonality. There are auditory means, such as speech, song, and tone of voice, and there are nonverbal means, such as body language, sign language, para language, touch, eye contact, through media, i.e., pictures, graphics and sound, and writing.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communication)

Communication is how we get everything done! The way we communicate to our body's through what we eat is just as important as the way we communicate with others. Last night I was thinking about how important communication is in every aspect of our lives. The information we put into our minds is communicated to our bodies. Ever hear about how stress caused by environment? I a m sure you have. This is how we get disease. We communicate stress to our body systems with information and the food we eat. There are other ways to communicate stress to the body but for now I will focus on these two things.
Self Talk is a major way to improve communication to yourself and your dreams. When we are constantly belittling ourselves and berating ourselves we create more results connected to the things we think and talk about. This concept is not new, and you have probably heard this before, but I truly feel we need to continue to inspect the power of our inner communication and how it affects our outer lives. Everyday I am around people that talk about themselves in a bad way. They do not realize that they are creating more of the things they do not want, and when they do, they do not change it. WHY? because it feeds them something, there is a pay off. I have seen people fish for compliments this way. they belittle themselves out loud, and some unsuspecting person will say, 'Oh no, you are not that fat, or your not stupid or I think you are wonderful" the unsuspecting person is trying to be nice, but most of the time they are lieng, and just wish the other person would stop complaining. The pay off is there but it is false and it does not carry real value, so the complainer continues to do it so others can repeat the things they want to hear. The fact of it is the things they want to hear are something they really want to believe, instead of doing something about it they settle on the instant, shallow comforts. It is a vicious cycle, and we can get past it. If you are the one hearing the 'fisher of compliments' ignore them, do not respond. If you are 'the fisher' STOP. DO something. Relearning how to communicate positively with yourself is not easy but it is not HARD. I learned a trick when I was young, and I found it very useful in breaking self destructive habits. A think rubber band on your wrist will teach you how to stop it. Every single time you find yourself saying ( in your head or out loud) a negative thing about yourself or others snap the rubber band HARD! INSTANTLY replace your negativity with something positive... INSTANTLY!
Develop a sense of Gratitude. Cultivate it. If you feel unlucky, you must find a way to change that!Simplify yourself, take time to smell the roses, feel the breeze on your face, listen to good music, read, take a walk write in your journal, brew a cup of tea.
In business, we need to communicate with others positively. Who wants to go work for someone that is negative, who wants to partner with a buzz kill? When is the last time you saw a SUCCESSFUL business person have a negative attitude and poor communication skills? It just doesn't happen. If they do get as far to have some success it is ALWAYS short lived, you see, the negative always finds the negative.
Be willing to learn, OPEN your mind! When you explore new things, your body and mind receive this communication as healthy and happy. When we get closer to the truth we can deal with adversity in a far more successful way. We can learn new skills to get us from here to there. The more we appreciate, the more we are appreciated.
When we eat toxic food, we communicate to our bodies disease. When we communicate this to our bodies we create disease. Do your body a favor, and weed out the disease causing things in your life. Stop eating fast food, throw out your microwave, REALLY! If you are going to eat something processed, make sure YOU are the one that processes it. Cooking processes the food, do it with LOVE and Gratitude! Do not boil some water and put MSG all over some noodles, throw the RAMENS OUT! Instead get some good pasta, and some sea salt and olive oil. Chop some veggies and add that. Takes the same amount of time and maybe less money too! And it is BY FAR MUCH LESS TOXIC. Really think about this. Processed packaged foods are at least 3 times more expensive then fresh foods. Don't believes me? Well then go to the store write down the price and weight of three of your favorite packaged foods. It can be anything, cereal, frozen pizza, Name it and write it down. Then go to the produce section and pick out your favorite three of your favorite veggies, write down the cost per pound. Go home and find out how much your processed foods cost per pound Convert the ounces to pounds. Let me give an example... Say Frozen lasagna costs 6.99. the package contains 32 ounces. so that is 6.99 for 2 pounds of lasagna. That makes it 3.50 a pound. Now read the ingredients ( it is okay if you cant pronounce the ingredients, they do not want you to know what is really in there anyway). Now say you picked Potatoes from the produce section, ( you love them! And you picked the best bag you could find) and it is selling for 5.99 for a 3 pound bag. That makes the potatoes 1.33 per pound! Read the ingredients on the bag.. HA! it has Potatoes in it! Now you have an extra $2.17 to buy another fresh and healthy food to have with your potatoes! You will also be eating those potatoes allot more then one meal. two pounds of frozen lasagna will not last the average family more then one meal. But 3 pounds of potatoes will stretch to more then one meal! Home fries ( made with good stuff) baked potatoes, smashed potatoes, A lot of potatoes.
YOU WILL see the difference in your attitude and your body! You will also find your thinking to be come clearer when you choose fresh over processed. Stop making excuses and cook your own food. Do not have time? Find yourself working two jobs to just keep above totally broke? Then it is time for you to evaluate your circumstances. That is another post.
START communicating with yourself, your body, your friends, and family, your colleague's in a POSITIVE WAY. Pay attention, because your life is about to get MUCH more fulfilling! You will start to see yourself in perfect alignment with your purpose. You will be sick less, you will be less stressed, you will be less depressed, you will be hooked up to the power of POSITIVE communication, and will be so happy and grateful you did it!
